Purview demo environment in your tenant
A guided web app that builds a complete Microsoft Purview environment in your own Azure subscription in about 10 minutes: a Purview account, storage, Data Factory, Synapse and sample data, already scanned and showing lineage. Use it for a proof of concept, training, or to see Purview working before you touch production.
What it does
Connect with your own sign-in
Sign in with your Microsoft work account. The deployment runs with your permissions, and your token never leaves the browser tab.
Choose what to build
Pick the subscription, region and name prefix, and switch resources on or off. A preflight check flags quota, naming and policy problems before anything is created.
Watch it deploy
Each step shows as it runs: storage, Key Vault, Data Factory, Synapse, the Purview account, role assignments, sample data and the first pipeline run.
Pick up where it leaves off
A summary of every resource, the steps Azure can't automate (such as granting Purview access to the SQL pool, with the T-SQL ready to copy), and a reminder to pause the SQL pool so it stops billing.
Requirements and security

| Permissions | Delegated sign-in through a public app registration with no client secret. You need Owner or User Access Administrator on the subscription. |
| Secrets | The SQL admin password is generated straight into your own Key Vault. Services talk to each other with managed identities. |
| What it creates | Microsoft Purview, ADLS Gen2, Blob Storage, Key Vault, Data Factory and a Synapse workspace with a dedicated SQL pool, in a new resource group you can delete afterwards. |
| Costs | Azure charges your subscription for the resources while they exist. The SQL pool is the largest cost and can be paused. |
| Open source | Based on the open-source PurviewAccelerator project (MIT licence), rebuilt to run from the browser. |
