Hire Microsoft 365 people who can actually do the work

Cloudly Move Assess puts candidates in a simulated Microsoft 365 console for 40 minutes. They configure policies, triage alerts and make the calls the job needs. You get a scored report, integrity signals, and interview questions about their own answers.

No account, no card. One free assessment per organisation.

Ask in interview"You marked the compliant-device policy as fine. Who would it lock out?"

Hiring for Microsoft 365 is guesswork

CVs all look the same.

Everyone lists Purview, Conditional Access and SC-401. A CV can't tell you who has actually configured them.

Interviews reward talkers.

A confident candidate can describe a DLP policy they've never tuned. Most hiring managers can't test the detail.

AI writes the take-home.

Written tests and technical questions now come back with perfect answers. They no longer tell you much.

See how it works

Four steps, from invite to interview. Try a scenario yourself in step 2.

Pick the role, send the link

Choose one of six role tracks and enter the candidate's email. They get a private link that works for 14 days. Nothing to install, no account for them to create.

  • Six tracks, from administrator to project manager
  • Every invite generates its own data
  • You're emailed the moment they finish

Ten timed scenarios, no essays

Candidates review policies, triage alerts, configure settings and rank priorities in a simulated console. Each scenario has the time a practitioner needs and little more. Try this short one.

  • Answers are actions, so a chatbot can't see the screen
  • Different data for every candidate
  • About 40 minutes in total
Scenario 1 of 10 · Identity and access4:38

You've inherited these Conditional Access policies. Is each one fine, a gap to fix, or could it lock everyone out?

Then they explain themselves

Twice during the test, the candidate sees one of their own decisions and has a minute to explain it. Paste is switched off and typing is measured. Someone who had help can't predict which decision comes up.

  • Built from what they actually clicked
  • Typing speed and key presses recorded
  • Shown word for word in your report
Explain your decision0:47

You marked "Require compliant device · All users · No exclusions" as fine as it is. In under a minute, explain why, and who it affects.

I'd keep it, compliant devices are the baseline for us and Intune covers every laptop

Pasting is switched off. A few clear sentences is enough.

A report you can act on

A score and result band, strengths by area, integrity signals, and up to six interview questions generated from the candidate's own mistakes. A 15-minute follow-up call settles the rest.

  • Signals to weigh, never an automatic fail
  • Debrief questions specific to this candidate
  • Time used on every scenario

Ask in interview
  1. You marked the compliant-device policy as fine. Who would it lock out, and how would you test it safely?
  2. You left "review MFA methods registered in the last few days" out of your incident response. Why?
  3. What would you check in simulation mode before turning the DLP rule on?

Six role tracks

Each track is ten scenarios, about 40 minutes, built by Cloudly Move's Microsoft 365 team.

Licensing, email authentication, mailbox types, least-privilege admin roles, leavers, Conditional Access, external access.

Security

Microsoft 365 Security Engineer

Conditional Access review, compromised accounts, Privileged Identity Management, email threats, Secure Score priorities, hybrid identity.

Collaboration

Teams and Collaboration Engineer

Teams policies, external and guest access, team lifecycle, Teams Phone connectivity, call quality, eDiscovery for Teams.

Delivery

Microsoft 365 Project Manager

Built so AI can't sit the test for them

No remote test is impossible to cheat. This one makes cheating slow, visible and easy to expose in a short follow-up call.

Answers are actions

Candidates work in a console, not a text box. Pasting a question into a chatbot doesn't give it the screen it needs.

Different data every time

Names, numbers and which items are right are generated per invite. A leaked answer sheet is useless.

Answers stay on our server

The candidate's browser only receives the questions. Scoring and timing happen on our side.

Tight timers

Each scenario allows a practitioner's time and little more. Stopping to ask something else costs minutes.

They explain their own choices

Paste is off, typing is measured, and the decision they explain is one only they know they made.

Signals, not verdicts

Leaving the window, copy and paste attempts, and perfect answers in seconds are reported for you to judge.

Questions

What does the candidate need?

A laptop or desktop browser and about 40 minutes without interruptions. No Microsoft account, no software, nothing to install.

Is it pass or fail?

No. You get a score, a result band and strengths by area to inform your decision. The interview questions help you check anything that looks off. The decision stays with you.

What do candidates see about monitoring?

Before starting, they're told exactly what's recorded: their answers, time on each scenario, when they leave the test window, and copy or paste attempts. Nothing else on their device is accessed. No camera, no microphone.

How long do you keep the results?

Invites expire after 14 days. Answers and reports are deleted 90 days after the invite is sent.

Can we test for our own roles?

Yes, as part of the full package. We can weight the tracks toward your environment or build scenarios around your own setup. Book a call to talk it through.

Why only one free assessment?

So you can see a real report for a real candidate before deciding. Each organisation gets one; the full package covers everyone after that.
